Chapter 49: The Final Clean-up

When Li Yao saw the patrolling Arcane Guardian that was about to turn its head, he quickly took out a rope from his backpack. It was a very special rope that had dead knots tied along the length of it with a certain distance in between each.

He quickly tied the rope to a statue-like pillar, then promptly took out a second similar rope and tied it on the same pillar, which was then followed by a third rope. After the pillar was draped with three rope bridges, Li Yao swiftly climbed using the rope bridge linking the second dome to the third platform to return to the second dome.

At this time, the patrolling Elite had almost reached the edge of the platform.

The startled Arcane Guardian saw Li Yao, and raised its left arm. An arcane light shone on its arm, then a magical bullet was shot at Li Yao.

Li Yao used Back Leap, the speed of his body retreating backward was as fast as the speed of the magical bullet. A moment later, Li Yao landed safely on the ground, and the magical bullet flew past inches away from his head.

Clang, clang, clang…

The Arcane Guardians marched with heavy footsteps as they were drawn by Li Yao. When Li Yao saw that the Arcane Guardians were about to descend down the stairs, he shot out an arrow again to maintain the mobs’ Rage.
