Chapter 2841 – It Doesn’t Hurt Here
Within the Gladean Ruins, Tianming and Wudi, both of them cultivators that relied on unconventional methods to advance, used the time that they had to patch up their weak foundations using the foundationeer caeli of the flameyellow divinities. During that time, Ebonia’s situation was beginning to set in stone.
Yi Daiyan, using the name of the Infinitum Bodhimanda, had countless defenders of her cause. The ebons, on the other hand, hid like rats and were completely alone. People from a century ago would never have believed that things could come to such a point. Back then, many people—even those within the Swordgod Lin Clan—had submitted to the ebons.
Given such circumstances, there was nothing Tianming could do apart from cultivating and looking for the other infinitum-class wildbeasts. From time to time, he also went to the Xenoabyss to check up on Zi Zhen. She still didn’t wish to meet him, and there wasn’t much he could do about it.
“I wonder if I’ll have a chance to get more high-grade order fragments.” Just as that occurred to Tianming, he heard a thumping noise somewhere nearby within the Gladean Ruins. He went to check it out and saw that it was Fengqing Youmeng, who had been imprisoned by Xiaodao.
The girl had been kept there for quite some time, so she seemed somewhat deflated. Even so, her dreamy looks and fair skin were as enchanting as ever, so was her gaze and movement that seemed to inspire extra sympathy.
“Come here,” she said, biting her lip and shooting an intense gaze at Tianming.
“What do you want?” Tianming asked. While the girl was beautiful, he was a married man and therefore completely uninterested. Not to mention, he had more wonderian beauties than he knew what to do with, or as close to that as he could get, from Moran and her forty-nine sisters.
“I want to speak to my parents. After you give them your conditions, let me go.”
“Forget it.” They had kept her alive so they could foil the wonderian’s plans for the Infinitum Mundus. Thus, there would be no point in proposing any conditions before they made a move. Not that Meng Ying would be too likely to uphold their end of the deal anyway. Not to mention, all Tianming wanted was Meng Ying’s death, and it didn’t seem likely that he would get it.
“Li Tianming, stop!” she cried.
Tianming turned back and saw that she was tearing off her clothes. The tattered remains of her clothing barely clung to her body.
“Let me free and I’ll serve you, alright? I’m not any bit worse than the women you have around you. Billions of people in the Skydome Mundus would jump at the chance of getting a piece of me.” No doubt, she knew what men usually wanted from her.
“Aren’t you wonderians usually really loyal to each other? You’re born with a destined partner, right? Who’d believe your words?” Tianming asked in a doubting tone.
Fengqing Youmeng coldly smiled. “All you’ve seen is what we want you to see. Our whole race has been driven mad by ‘destined partners’. If it weren’t for the fact that killing our partners will ruin our own cultivations, our entire dirty race would’ve wiped each other out long ago! Wives and husbands would flat out murder one another!”
Tianming could see how much she desired freedom from being tied down to others. To her, being a wonderian was an outright nightmarish existence.
“I may be someone else’s wife, but I don’t need you to take any responsibility. Will that do?” She stretched out her hands and opened her white eyes wide, hoping that he would hug her.
Tianming looked her up and down and suddenly chuckled. “Astral gods are formed from astrons. If I destroy your cosmic charts, you’ll become nothing but dust, leaving not even your skeleton behind. The urges that our seventh astral organs give us are merely vestigial qualities of our mortal flesh. There is no longer any meaning to any of that, understand?”
“I do, but can you explain the tent you’re pitching?” she asked with a straight face.
“Shut up!” Tianming looked down and exploded with embarrassment. In crucial times, not even the brain, the first astral organ itself, could defeat the seventh astral organ. Tianming cleared his throat, then took out a cosmic artifact armor and put it on. He fastened it tight and pinched her ear. “I just so happen to want to ask you something. If you don’t answer honestly, I’ll make you suffer.”
“Dominate me as a man if you’re potent! No other kinds of pain will make me budge,” she said, salaciously biting her lips. There was no winning with her.
Tianming drew the Grand-Orient Sword and pushed it straight through her chest and infused her with the Imperial Sword Prison. “Does it hurt?”
“Thrusting it in this spot doesn’t.”
Tianming almost lost it at the wonderian’s constant antics. However, it soon became clear that she had just been putting up a front. When Imperial Sword Prison spread throughout the astrons in her body, she would feel the pain of death at every moment as long as Tianming wished it. He could even tear her body apart if he wished. “Once more, I’m warning you that I’m not joking around.”
Fengqing Youmeng finally stopped messing around.
Tianming asked, “How’d Lin Ke reach the Skydome Mundus?”
Even though she wanted to keep mum about it, Tianming tore her whole arm off and let her watch the astrons slowly fade away. Such pain wasn’t easy to endure. She grit her teeth and said, “I entered the Xenoworld to pick him up!”
Tianming slapped her in the face hard, turning her fair cheek peachy red. “I know how much distance the wonderians can cover using the Xenoworld, and it isn’t nearly enough to reach Intrepidus. Even though the Xenoworld has no conventional sense of distance, there’s still borders that your lot aren’t able to cross.”
“Fine! He came here on his divine astralship!” Diiscover new 𝒔tories at n𝒐ve/lbin(.)c/o𝒎
“What ship? How long did the voyage take?”
“Greater ether class…. He took more than thirty years!” she unwillingly said.
Tianming felt that her reactions suggested that she was lying. This time around, her entire body cracked open, letting starlight leak out; the Imperial Sword Prison was ruining her innards.
“Stop!” she cried in pain.
“Try fucking with me one more time…. I already know that the distance between Intrepidus and Skydome would take a greater ether-class astralship more than a century to cross. How could Lin Ke arrive in a mere thirty years?”
“I misspoke! It was a hundred, so what?”
Tianming glared at her and took out a transmission stone. “Master, come here. There’s something up with Fengqing Youmeng.” She panicked when she heard that. Tianming continued, “Actually, I don’t know how long it takes to cover that distance. I just made up the hundred years thing.”
The fact that she corrected thirty years to a hundred meant that she was lying for sure. Xiaodao soon came and Tianming said, “Old Lin, put her in the drinking gourd. Only let her out when she tells me how Lin Ke really traveled to Skydome.”
“Very well. It’s a lot of fun in there. Every moment, every single one of your astrons will feel hot and spicy. Enjoy,” Xiaodao said with a smirk.
