Chapter 2116 – Sword-shaped Tombstones
Lin Jianxing was quite a decisive person. Right after he said what he wanted, his divine astralship immediately sped up once more and barged into Myriadsword Mausoleum.
“Lin Jianxing, you’re insane! This is a resting place for our ancestors!” the person that had tried to stop them roared, but their voice soon faded out. Lin Jianxing seemed intent on delivering Tianming to everyone else before the ancestral worship ceremony began. The commotion caused by his divine astralship only drew more attention to the matter.
“Lin Feng, everyone will have a go at you next! Are you afraid? Why’d a bastard child like you survive? Why? Hahaha!” Lin Jianxing cried like a madman, his hatred for Lin Mu not abating in the slightest. The girls felt even more anxious after hearing that. Tianming included, all four of them were like caged animals.
It didn’t take long for the sword-shaped ship to ‘land’ by piercing into the ground.
“Who dares cause such commotion here?!”
“Whose shameless brat is this?! Come out!”
“What a disastrous mess this is!”
Thundering voices came from outside the ship, shaking Tianming’s eardrums to the point they started ringing.
Lin Jianxing left the ship and addressed those outside. “Everyone, I decided to barge in because I bring with me one who’s mired in sin! He shall atone for his sins before all our ancestors! When you all see who I have brought, you will know why I decided to cause this mess!” He wasn’t someone who did whatever he wanted. Instead, he was a model for others to emulate, so the crowd quickly calmed down and trusted his words.
“Jianxing’s never messed around, so let’s listen to him.”
“Enough nonsense then. Bring out the sinner.”
“How could someone of his age possibly catch someone so evil? Well, I guess we’ll see!”
The atmosphere began to turn solemn as everyone waited for their doubts to be answered.
The main door of the sword-shaped ship opened up. A path led into the dark room within. Lin Jianxing yelled, “Lin Feng, get the fuck out here!”
That name was completely foreign to the Swordgod Lin Clan, so the atmosphere became even quieter. However, it was much more tense than before. The pressure Tianming felt from the people outside felt like countless mountain-sized swords pressing down on him, and all of that was simply the result of their gaze upon him. Feiling and the rest found that they could barely breathe.
“Don’t stick so close to me, endure it, and don’t do anything reckless! No matter what happens to me, ensure that you survive!” Tianming said.
“Okay….” Feiling tugged on his sleeve for a moment before letting go.
“Trust your man. I’ll be fine,” he said, cracking a smile as he stepped toward the light. As he did, it felt like he was pierced by swords over and over again, but he endured it and moved forward.
Taking a deep breath, he met the gazes ahead of him and disembarked from the ship. This was the Myriadsword Mausoleum! The most eye-catching part of the place was the sea of gigantic tombstones inscribed with descriptions of the ancient ancestors of the clan. Tianming felt like a mere speck of dust before all the grandeur. The sword-shaped tombstones immediately told Tianming how deep the history of the Swordgod Lin Clan was. This was what a true powerful faction of Ebonia looked like. Though it had ‘clan’ in its name, the faction’s influence and might far outstripped that of the mysterians by many folds!
Every single tombstone was inscribed with hundreds of millions of divine celestial patterns. The carvings also recorded and detailed the culture and history of the clan. The mausoleum itself seemed countless times more grand than the fleet of a hundred thousand sword ships he had seen as he was arriving in Ebonia. Much of the pressure came from the tombstones alone, let alone the people that hovered in the sky above.
Every single one of them resembled a sword! These were the greats of the Swordgod LIn Clan, all of whom were older than Lin Jinxiang. Some were in their prime, some were a little past it, and most of them were elders. There were around a hundred thousand of them in total, yet what truly terrified Tianming was the fact that all of them gave him the same feeling Lin Jianxing did. They were all high gods! While some of them were thousands of years old, every single one of them was no doubt stronger than the Three Sovereigns Mysterium. That kind of terrifying power was no doubt largely due to benefiting from Ebonia’s legacies.
But that was hardly surprising, considering that the Swordgod Lin Clan was among the top factions within the Prime Infinitum Trade Union. Everyone there that had come to worship their ancestors were no doubt powerhouses in the clan. The Trade Union was known as ‘prime’ for a reason, and that reason was that they were the top in the entire Infinitum Mundus!
As Tianming endured the scathing sword-ki-infused gazes, he found that he couldn’t move even a single albus. Lin Jianxing’s commotion had drawn a lot of attention to him and he felt like he was completely devoid of life in that instant. Such was the sixth-class nova source world, Ebonia. The elite Swordgod Lin Clan and their hundred thousand powerhouses stood tall and indomitable.
Even with Tianming’s extra courage from the Primordial Chaos Beasts, he still felt like these figures were untouchable. They were far too out of his wheelhouse to deal with. All he could think of was how Lin Mu was correct in that he should come here. Only in such an environment could he meet powerful people in the cosmic astralscape, which would greatly stimulate his growth.
Nobody said a single word, but he felt his ears ringing as if thunder clapped right beside his eardrums. There was no way a normal god wouldn’t feel terrified being stared down by a hundred thousand higher beings at the same time.
“Lin Jianxing, speak. Who is he?” a cold womanly voice asked. Tianming couldn’t spot the person among the gigantic crowd as he couldn’t even lift his head to look.
“Yes!” Lin Jianxing pointed at Tianming, eyes bloodshot, and roared, “He’s the son of Lin Mu!”
