Chapter 2050 – Blood Abyss Wargod
After Wudi left, Tianming told Xiaoxiao, “Tell me if anything changes.”
“Got it!” She knew that he didn’t want to leave, even though he had to. “Actually, you aren’t going far anyway. You’re just going to take the sun somewhere safer. Don’t overthink it.”
“Alright!” He had already waited for five months, after all, and time was running out. It would still take a little time for Sovereign Starfeather to make it there.
“I’ll go to the Astraldome and see if I can gain more information.” He still couldn’t quite feel at peace right on the eve of Feiling’s return, yet he already had to move on to the next step. For now, the fusion formation of Violetglory remained intact, so the wondersky realm was still fine. The connecting path to the Astraldome still functioned.
Tianming started up his heavenly locus formation and entered it. “Wondersky fairy, take me to the Astraldome.”
The two sovereigns of Violetglory had only prohibited anyone from entering the Astraldome to prevent news from being leaked. Naturally, that didn’t apply to Tianming. Eventually, he reached the Tranquil Battlefield’s sixth level. He hadn’t come there since he left Violetglory and returned to the sun.
He made his way to Tranquil Hall, a place of tutelage, where combat was forbidden. The caeli there were for all geniuses on that floor to share, and it was always quite full.
Tianming appeared in a corner of the hall, standing out quite a bit thanks to his hair, eye, and arm color. Many people immediately spotted him.
“You haven’t come in a long time!”
“Hasn’t it been a year or two?”
The geniuses of the Mysterium Cluster had no idea about what happened with the sun and Skywolf. They were also ignorant of the fact that the mysterians had sent troops to the Flameyellow Imperial Star, as well as the fact that the likes of Crimsonjade Qiang, someone from the ninth level of the Tranquil Battlefield, had already perished at Tianming’s hand even without help from Omnisentient Threads. Most of the mysterians there were juniors under the age of a hundred, after all, and even among the seniors, only the most elite would have access to such information.
Crimsonjade Long was one such person. He had just exited the hall with Skyway Bistar’s Shenwu Fen when they spotted him. Tianming also saw them as well. Those two were members of the Celestial Beings and he wasn’t unfamiliar with them.
Smiling, he beckoned to them with his finger.
“How dare you enter the Astraldome?!” Crimsonjade Long yelled in a rage.
“Does your family own this place? Why can’t I enter?” Tianming said, shrugging.
“You!”
“Haha, pathetic.” Tianming made a cutting motion near his neck before turning to leave.
“Halt!” Long clenched his fists and was about to go berserk. He charged toward Tianming to intercept him, causing many to turn their heads and look. “All of you, scram!”
The crowd began dispersing, though many chose to linger near the sidelines out of curiosity.
“Li Tianming, you killed my dad!” he growled, sticking his face so close to Tianming’s that they were almost touching.
“That’s right. I killed a small fry. It was no different from slaughtering chickens,” Tianming said. He had come seeking Long in the first place.
“You!” Long’s goal was to be a sovereign under the age of a hundred, like his father, and become the pride of the faceless specters. Yet he never could have dreamed that his father would perish at the hands of Tianming, whose mockery almost made him explode.
“Stop throwing a tantrum. Do you think you could possibly be my match when your father died at my hand? Who do you think you are?”
“Someone as lowly as you definitely used some underhanded trick! Do you think you’d be able to kill my dad otherwise? It’s over for you! Your whole world will be buried alongside you!” At that point, Long was just flipping out about something he was powerless to change. Though he raised his fist, Tianming applied force to stop him from moving a single inch.
“Based on what you said, I suppose you know about ‘Skyway Quadstar’ after all. That’s impressive, but you really should use your brain. With your dad dead and the watchers of your kind all snuffed out by me, of course I’ll be long gone by the time your folks arrive. Why would I stay to let you guys catch up to me? My world and I are already somewhere you can’t reach.” Not only that, Tianming was still able to come to the Astraldome to add fuel to their flaming rage!
“Is that so? Speaking of Skyway Quadstar, my elders did ask me to pass a message on to you,” Long said, smiling and no longer angry.
“Out with it,” Tianming nonchalantly said.
“We already know that, while you’re a native of the sun, you actually have sentimental ties to Violetglory! Our forces will send a detachment toward Violetglory and the vanguard’s almost there now! They want me to tell you that if you don’t show up, they’ll exterminate the star. We’ll kill a hundred thousand every day until you show up. If you don’t, the entire world will be exterminated and their souls won’t even be allowed to reincarnate. We’ll lock them all in our Purgatorium of the Lost for eternal suffering, and all that’ll be all your fault!”
Long proudly chuckled and spotted Tianming’s sudden shift in expression. “Hah! Now you know what’s coming for you! Fool! The astralscape of order is the mysterians’ turf! You’re millions of years too young to go against us! Don’t think you’ll have a chance to announce everything to the public here in the Astraldome. If you let a single word slip, you’ll immediately be booted from here for eternity!”
“Oh no, you won’t even spare their souls?” Tianming said, feigning anger.
“But of course! We aren’t playing around. The whole of Violetglory shall suffer, thanks to you!”
“You… tell your elders to not touch Violetglory! I’ll negotiate with them!” Tianming said, gritting his teeth with his eyes bloodshot.
“It’s too late! You no longer have a chance. It’s your fault for daring to challenge our authority. I just got news that our fastest skypiercer-class divine astralship, the Eye of the Blood Abyss, has already reached Violetglory! The slaughter will immediately begin! You’d better hurry and show up so that fewer people will have to die.”
“The Eye of the Blood Abyss? It’s already arrived?!” This time, Tianming wasn’t faking it. He really didn’t know about that, and his attempt at tricking Long to let some information slip had really worked.
“Don’t you know that ship? It’s the divine astralship of the ninth-level faceless specter sovereign, the Blood Abyss Wargod! He’s the ruler of eighteen skypiercer-class worlds, and my grandfather! He only needs a dozen people to completely secure Violetglory!” Long proudly announced.
Tianming’s guess was right. They had immediately tried to secure his weakness, now that Qiang was dead, and they weren’t working as a cohesive whole. The strongest and fastest would come for him first, which was why only one ship had arrived so far, though it carried a bigshot in the Blood Abyss Wargod. The other two elite sovereigns of the mysterians had probably gone toward the original location of the sun to hunt him down. He really didn’t think they would be there so quickly. No doubt, the Eye of the Blood Abyss would soon be able to spot the sun.
“Out!” He immediately returned to the real world to pilot the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb toward Violetglory. Eventually, he saw a gigantic eyeball that looked like an abyss of blood heading in the direction of the sun.
