Chapter 625: Chapter 619: Blackwater Sect
Finn Lewis nodded and got out of the vehicle. The hotel’s landscaping was excellent, filled with various unidentifiable plants. The air had a faint, pleasant scent, and it was exceptionally fresh, seemingly richer in oxygen than the atmosphere on Earth.
Indeed, taking a deep breath felt incredibly refreshing. He looked up and saw a line of large letters at the front of the building that read: Blackwater Sect Hotel.
“Sir, this will be our residence. Although it is somewhat expensive, the cost for even the most basic room per night is around 50,000 black coins, and the most expensive rooms can cost several hundred thousand black coins. On the other hand, we will receive their protection. The Blackwater Sect is one of the top three forces on Death Star. They have a significant voice in the Death Star’s management committee and are responsible for protecting one of the three fleets on the Death Star. So, our safety will be guaranteed. Does this meet your expectations?” Montgomery Tian respectfully said.
Finn Lewis chuckled. This youngster had a way with words. Not only did he explain their choice of lodgings, but he also indirectly informed Finn Lewis about the hotel’s pricing level, setting the stage for a decision on affordability.
It’s no wonder he could survive among those tour guides at such a young age.
“Let’s stay here then.” Finn Lewis nodded and walked towards the entrance.
“Hold on.” Four security guards stopped him at the entrance. Before Finn could say anything, one of them disdainfully looked at him and commanded, “Sorry, not everyone can stay here. We do not allow people with untidy attire.”
Finn looked down at his clothes, furrowed his brow, and asked, “What’s wrong with what I’m wearing?”
“Ha! You must have just crawled out from some primitive planet, thinking that you can access this place wearing those rags?” The security guard laughed loudly and disdainfully asked.
Finn looked at his own clothes and then at the uniforms of the security guards. It suddenly dawned on him why he always felt like an oddity. Apparently, the problem lied in his clothing.
After figuring out the root of the problem, Finn realized that his clothes, while exorbitantly expensive on Earth were probably seen as worthless here. Dunn Monty or Thomas Calvin didn’t mention this, probably because they had gotten used to Earth’s ways. Montgomery Tian didn’t dare say anything and as for the woman following him, she’d probably walk straight into a wall or tree while keeping her head down.
But just because Finn understood their derision, didn’t mean he would care about what the guards thought. He looked at them and responded nonchalantly, “I like wearing these clothes. And, I do intend to stay here tonight. Are you really planning on turning away customers?”
“You think anyone can just come and go in this place? Do you even know the cost for a night’s stay here?” One guard sneered at Finn.
“I don’t know how much it costs, but I do know that if you won’t let me in, you’re going to have a problem.” Finn sneered, “If your superiors found out that customers were being turned away, you’d be in a lot of trouble, wouldn’t you?”
“You little…” The guard was about to swing a punch when Dunn Monty intervened, holding onto the guard’s wrist. He coldly said, “Move aside. This is how our lord likes to dress. It is none of your business. It all comes down to money, right? Is this enough?”
While talking, Dunn Monty took out some of his star credit notes and waved them before the guard.
“If you dare to stop us again, you must know how many people will want to teach you a lesson. Even the management of the Blackwater Sect might not protect you, right?” Dunn Monty added.
Seeing the star credits in Dunn Monty’s hand and hearing his words, the guard broke out in a cold sweat. After a while, he respectfully glanced at Finn and apologized, “I beg your pardon, I didn’t recognize you. I apologize for my misjudgment. Please, right this way.”
Finn couldn’t be bothered arguing with such a minor character and walked straight in. Dunn and the rest followed. Whether any outsider noticed this scene, Finn wasn’t sure, but he was certain their surveillance technology was far superior to Earth’s.
The interior of the hotel was no different from those on Earth, aside from being far more luxurious and high-tech. Stood behind the reception desk was a lady who doesn’t look like a pure human.
Finn Lewis and his party walked over to the reception desk. While the receptionist seemed surprised by his attire, she managed to maintain a professional smile, “May I help you with your reservations?”
“Yes,” Finn Lewis nodded.
“I can’t believe anyone can stay here. Is the Blackwater Sect Hotel so desperate for customers that they’d let a primitive being like him in? Or did the security guards at the entrance fail to screen people properly – does he look like someone who can afford this place?” An abrupt voice sounded beside them. Finn turned around to see two thirty-something men covered in tattoos. When they realized that Finn was looking at them, one of them snarled, “What’re you looking at, boy? You’re asking for trouble.”
“Neanderthal.” Finn sneered.

“What did you say?” The man paused, his eyebrows raising as an ominous look filled his face. Finn didn’t know if this man understood the term, but he certainly didn’t take it as a compliment.
“Two of your most luxurious suites, please.” Finn sneered dismissively, ignoring the man’s reaction.
His words made both men and the receptionist pause for a moment. The receptionist then whispered, “Sir, are you sure you want our Supreme Luxury Suite? It costs one million black coins per night.”
“Yes, I want two. I don’t have any black coins,” Finn candidly replied.
The receptionist blinked in surprise, not having a chance to react before Finn continued, “I don’t have these black coins, only star credits. How much is it?”
