Chapter 556: Chapter 550: Buying Sesame and Gifting a Watermelon
“It seems that his standing within the Hustle Spot is higher than we anticipated,” Jack Lewis pondered before speaking aloud.
“That can make sense since, after all, he seems to be the provider of their funds. Admittedly, I wouldn’t dare assert he funds the whole organization, but the majority of the cash certainly seems to be from him. Therefore, his high position can be understood.” The young major opened his mouth to speak after a thoughtful pause.
“No, I fear things aren’t as they appear on the surface. Take an organization like this which has been passed down for over a century—do you think their main source of funding stems from investment funds? There is a great deal of profitable companies worldwide with stocks owned by them. They can obscure this fact from us, making it impossible to trace their shares. Masking their ownership is too straightforward a task,” Jack Lewis countered, shaking his head.
There were too many questions in this case, and although he hadn’t figured it all out, he knew one thing: Finn Lewis’s position within the organization was higher than they originally estimated. However, this was a good thing, as long as Finn remained within their sphere of control. If they were still in the dark, any slip-ups would leave them unable to combat the situation.
“Alright, there should be no other exceptional factors, right?”
“None.”
“Okay, good. You guys continue with your analysis, see if you can find anything useful, I’ll go report the relevant information.” Jack Lewis immediately turned and departed to report everything to his middle-aged superior.
“Yes.”
While Jack Lewis report his findings, Finn Lewis had also been investigating the related matters, “Essentially, the situation is as follows. When we were in Southland Country, we were dealing with the futures market. At the time, the oil was undergoing a new downward trend. While it wasn’t as severe as the last downward trend, it was nonetheless a decline. Yoshikazu’s investment fund had been short-selling on a massive scale. Consequently, we were able to raise the price of the entire oil futures market, causing the investment fund under his control to suffer from losses exceeding 50 billion federal coins.”
50 billion federal coins. No wonder. Had that been Finn Lewis, he too would’ve been discontent. Unlike Finn, Yoshikazu was not careless with his funds, but Finn only cared for points. As long as he had an abundance of points, he would naturally have plenty of money, and the products that Finn exchanged could earn him substantial funds.
Therefore, Finn didn’t particularly care for money at this moment; he could play around as he pleased. But a financial group like the Trinity Financial Group couldn’t possibly afford to do this—these funds didn’t belong solely to Yoshikazu, but instead, nearly everyone within the corporation. As a result, this loss would lead to a significant decrease in Yoshikazu’s position within the group.
“Fair enough, I guess it’s not so surprising that our young friend turned up in Belmare Country specifically to cause me trouble,” Finn Lewis commented, stroking his chin.
Finn was in the midst of pondering how he would handle the Trinity Corporation when he received a notification from Olivia Thatcher stating that Jack Lewis was searching for him. Upon opening the message that Jack had sent him, Finn almost dropped his jaw in astonishment.
This narrative revealed Finn acting defiantly, with the Flame Nation backing him up. This presented a forced situation to which he could not object.
Simultaneously, Finn had purchased an island with the intention of building on it. However, he discovered that the island was home to an advanced civilization likely left over by extraterrestrials.
“Master, I will generate a 3D model of the scanning structure for you immediately.” As Olivia uttered her statement, a three-dimensional model began to appear on Finn’s laptop. The entire layout of the Floral Island had been captured by the scanning process.
“I will remove the outer coral reefs for your convenience. In reality, those reefs are not too thick—the reefs only begin a distance of about 70 meters from the sea surface, and everything beneath them is man-made. The thickness of the surrounding coral reefs beneath only ranges from about 3 to 10 meters,” Olivia explained as the 3D model took shape. An isosceles triangle-shaped pillar which was at least 3,000 meters tall appeared before Finn. This was due to the 3,000-meter depth of the sea floor.
“Can you determine its total length?” Finn was at a loss for words. This was considerably more difficult than winning the lottery. When Finn had originally sought to acquire Floral Island, he hadn’t put much thought into it. Who would’ve known such a surprise was awaiting him—it was akin to buying a watermelon and getting a diamond as a complimentary gift. And not just any diamond—a top-tier diamond. Such a find was absolutely mind-blowing.

“At present, we would need to scan it section by section. According to the current results, the building is a single unit. Based on the coral reefs on its surface, it has been around for at least 15,000 to 20,000 years.” Olivia stated succinctly.
“Oh my god,” Finn blurted out. Something from more than ten thousand years ago—it definitely couldn’t belong to this planet. At that time, humans on earth were still primitives, not even having entered into a basic slave society. The earliest recorded Summer Dynasty was a mere 5,000 years ago, whereas this structure had been around for 15,000 to 20,000 years. Due to the time disparity, it couldn’t possibly have been erected on earth.
Finn wasn’t too surprised by extraterrestrials anymore; the biggest extraterrestrial known to history was always by his side. However, he wondered why these alien beings had bothered constructing such grand architecture beneath the sea back then. Even if they were technologically advanced, there were still only primitive humans on earth at the time. wouldn’t it have been better to build on land rather than under the sea?
Regardless, even with the highly advanced technology at Olivia’s disposal, Finn currently couldn’t discern the nature of the object. Olivia would need to continue scanning to ascertain more. Right now, the entire structure still hadn’t been constructed via the 3D scanning model.
“Master, it would be more convenient if we were elsewhere. I suggest we return to Celeston City for now, since you have nothing to do here, and you wouldn’t have to reside in a hotel every day,” Olivia proposed. “The scanning process will be slow and could take five to seven hours to complete as many components need to be digitally reconstructed. The structure isn’t made of a simple metal, but rather a type of alloy which significantly interferes with scanning signals.”
